Following a church service in 2004, sitting around the kitchen table at a member’s home, several couples gathered to discuss the idea of a new faith-based retirement community. The vision was to provide 55+ adults in the Aurora area an opportunity to remain close to church, family, friends and healthcare. Six years after the start of the development process, groundbreaking took place. Two years later, the first residents took possession of their new home.
Residents owing a life lease secure the right to live in their suites for as long as they wish. This purchase model is about creating and maintaining a community of active 55+ adults who share common interests and Christian values.
We are a member-based non-profit organization dedicated to delivering high quality retirement housing and care to 55+ adults wanting to remain close to family, friends, church and healthcare. Residents are required to be members of York Region Christian Senior Homes Inc.
